I worked in the accounting department for a retail company. For the last 4 years that I worked there, I was able to embezzle funds without anyone knowing. Not taking actual money in hand, but doing electronic credits to my credit cards using the company's computer that was linked to the company's bank account. Being the department's supervisor, I did the bank statement reconciliations and knew what stores were audited by our CPA at the end of the year. I'd therefore avoid those stores and touch the other stores that were not audited. I'd use my credit card to make purchases at the company's stores or other stores not affliated. I would pay my cable bill, telephone bill, and other purchases, and later do a credit back using company's funds. It often amounted to taking $250 a week. During the 4 years, I was able to take trips to New York and Las Vegas, all on company's funds. I'm surprised I was able to get away with it!!!
