There are a few ways to make your stories popular enough, where you will start noticing lots of members commenting or providing their thoughts on your situation. The simple explanation is that your story needs lots of attention to get lots of comments. Take popular Youtube videos for example, the video that has the most comments, also has the most amount of hits/viewers. So let's get started!

Your story is essentially web content and for web content to be popular it has to be optimized a certain way. There's lots of technically mobo jumbo invovled but all you have to know is that if your story is about a "painful childhood", or an "abusive relationship", you should aim to put those phrases like "painful childhood" or "abusive relationship" a few times at least within your story so that Google, Bing, and Yahoo notice that your story might have something relevant to people searching for "abusive relationship" or a "painful childhood".

Well that's the hard part! Here comes the easy part.

Sometimes all you need to have a popular story, article, or website on the internet is having a ton of links directed right towards your story, article, website etc.. So you are probably a member of Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Digg, StumbleUpon, Delicious, etc... Just simply paste a link to your story on anyone of those websites. If you are afraid of giving away your identity, you can post a link to a similar story and users might end up reading yours that way too.

The easiest way to  get lots of traffic to your story is to post an anonymous ad on Craigslist. We suggest that you post in the Group or Community sections, but you can post anywhere you wish... Whatever works for you. You might have noticed that users are already posting links to their stories on Craigslist and that's how you found us... Well it does work :) doesn't it?

Here's some quick links to get you started. Just remember to post a link directly to your story or at least a story in the same category as yours if you are trying to be anonymous.

1. Post a link to your story on other websites like: Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Digg, Craigslist, etc.,  (You can use the bookmarking icons in the upper right corner of the site.)

Lastly, you can email a  link of  your secrets to your friends. Chances are they'll email a link to their friends or share their secrets too.

Each story has its own hit/viewer counter. Just remember the more hits/viewers the more popular your story is and the more comments, advice you can receive or interact with.

The hit counters are displayed in various places: such as (Clicking on a Secret Category or by clicking on a your name at the very top of your story to see how many hits your stories have.
